“One of the most alluring voices in Contemporary Jazz”
With Pianist Bob Baldwin at St. James LIVE jazz club in Atlanta
A singular voice in the jazz and soul world, Kathy Kosins exemplifies the intersection of sophistication, emotional depth, and musical versatility. Her career spans decades of international performances, recordings, and collaborations, earning her critical acclaim and a devoted following.
Kosins’ latest single, “Auroras Light,” was named Most Played Vocalist on SiriusXM Watercolors and featured in multiple publications, including a July 2025 cover story in the UK magazine Blues and Soul. In 2022, her duet with Frank McComb, “I Gotta Pinch Myself” featuring Najee, was nominated Song of the Year at the SoulTracks Readers Choice Awards. Her 2023 reimagined single, “From A 2 B,” won Jazz Vocal Single of the Year from The Independent Broadcasters Alliance.
Kosins has also collaborated with renowned pianist and producer Bob Baldwin (“Let’s Rewind”), achieving multiple #1 positions on Smooth Jazz charts, the UK Soul Chart Top 30, and Indie Soul Top 30, with a new Baldwin/Kosins collaboration expected in 2026. Her work with bassist and producer Paul Randolph under the DetroitCentriX project continues to bring fresh, boundary-crossing soul-jazz to audiences worldwide.

“Kathy is one of the very few consummate artists. After honing her career by singing with and writing with legendary musicians since the early 80’s, Kathy can comfortably put that wealth of expertise to any musical genre, straddling the Soul , Smooth jazz and even the re-emerging AOR genre with astonishing ease. The clarity of her voice is only matched by the depth of her soul. She is one of the non-commercial greats!”
“Kathy is an artist who consistently delivers addictive, soulful, jazzy songs and performances. Her work has been appreciated by millions across the world which is no surprise. Kathy’s unique voice combines a keen sense of jazz phrasing with a gorgeous, deep, soulful tone and added texture.
